For over 40 years, Waste Management/Blue Barrel has played the dual role of service provider and community member to residents of the Santa Clarita Valley. Though timely and efficient trash collection remains a top priority, Waste Management/Blue Barrel has also been proactive in efforts to promote recycling and community involvement.

As Santa Clarita’s disposal provider for over 40 years, Waste Management/Blue Barrel is dedicated to serving its neighbors - the residents of Santa Clarita Valley - both on the job and in the community. Service, support and commitment to the community are Waste Management/Blue Barrel top priorities and, committed to that cause, the local disposal company has given over $100,000 annually in donations and sponsorships.

Santa Clarita History
The City of Santa Clarita was formed by incorporation on December 15, 1987. The original City Council included Mayor Howard "Buck" McKeon, Mayor Pro-tem Jan Heidt and Councilmembers Jo Anne Darcy, Carl Boyer and Dennis Koontz.
